Also, I'm going back to class on Tuesday, so my activity will probably decrease (as if I was very active anyway @@; ) yet again. I'm probably going to be doing lots and lots of projects for school and I will be going to colourguard rehearsal on Mondays and Thursdays from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm (oh god why), not to mention the competitions I will be going to probably every weekend. I'm going to draw what I need to but I probably won't be able to do kiribans or fanart or requests for you guys. I'm sorry. TT;

EDIT: OH, HAHA. I just found out I have to do ANOTHER goddamn scholarship that requires two essays, so that will eat up the rest of the spare time I have. I will finish all the art I have to do, but other than that I will most likely be virtually inactive from DA until February.

2009 is almost over! It was actually a pretty good year for me. I'm currently sitting next to typing this while we're drinking Jack and Coke and eating Cheetos. <3 We're so romantic.

But my first ACTUAL fight was when I was around nine or ten, and some punk said that I could never be a black belt because I was a girl. He was also standing too close to me. So I broke his nose. (My dad was watching the entire thing...I'm not sure if I've ever seen him laugh so hard.)

9. Climbed a tree? Yes, there used to be an awesome climbing tree at the house my mom and I used to live at.

I'm going to be a working on a short comic based on 's ZADR fanfic Depth Perception ([link]). Might just take me a bit to crank it out since I'm busy with other things right now. But it's something to look forward to. 8D

I'd also like to thank everyone for their kind words to me regarding my art-angst and my friend who has cancer. Your support means so much to me, guys. I wish there was some way I could repay you because I appreciate it so so so much. Thank you thank you thank you

These are turning out to be some pretty hard holidays, for me and many people I know.

On December 23rd, my very dear friend was diagnosed with cancer.

He is a wonderful person. He has impeccable faith in God unlike anyone I have ever seen, a belief so grounded in Jesus' teachings of love and compassion that I can only wish I still had the capacity for such faith as he does. He loves everyone and everything. I'm upset and angry and confused as to why something so horrible could happen to someone so wonderful.

Any sliver of faith I had is shot, but I will still pray for him. He is a very strong person, and I believe he can beat this. Please keep him in your thoughts and hope that he will get better over the holidays. Thank you.

I've been feeling more self-conscious about my art lately than usual. I haven't drawn anything I actually like in a while. And I love drawing Irkens, but I hate the way I draw them. If that makes sense. Probably not.

I stress about a lot of things. My Irkens also aren't very biologically accurate, and that bothers me. Honestly I don't understand how my art is even moderately popular; personally, it makes me gag. But I still very much appreciate all the faves and comments from you guys. They make me feel better when I'm in a shitty mood like this. Thank you all very much.

I'm sorry about this journal. I just needed to baww and vent. Please feel free to ignore it.
